1,000.00 gone but where?

I can never quite understand how I am capable to manage the most complicated projects with ease but when it comes to keeping track of my petty cash I have no sense of direction.

I can build the network of a startup with a shoe string budget. I am able to think out of the box to ensure everything that is needed is received with in budget and on time.

But, over the last 2 months I have lost track of $1000.00 in my personal account. Don?t worry it was not stolen or taken with out permission. I simply used it up buying stuff from bagels, movies, and outings with friends. I am disappointed in my self that I don?t have a better handle on my peaty cash account. I have all the tools that I need from the balance book that comes with the account to Microsoft Money on my computer.

I am almost embarrassed to admit this because what does it say about me?

I am currently judging my self and is not what I want to hear. I mean I see someone in my situation as an individual that should not have a task of responsibility or in a position of leading a team or project. I see someone in my situation as an individual that will never get anything done under any level of stress or challenges.

Although this is just something that happen this time, I am currently judging my self I am know for fact I am neither of those things and I am a good worker.

What do you think?

Would you follow a team leader who you feel can?t even manage his money?

Any suggestions on how I can prevent this from happening?

I think the misses is ordering me a book from Amazon.
